Materials and Process Specifications

The Bye Engineering team has experience in composite materials characterization, working with industry and suppliers to create material qualification databases, and generating design allowables.  This includes generating or support authoring materials and processes specifications for composite structures. 

  • Materials Specifications:  
    • Prepreg carbon fabric and unidirectional tape
    • Prepreg glass fabric and unidirectional tape
    • Wet layup resins and carbon and glass dry fabrics
    • Paste adhesives
    • Film adhesives
    • Aramid paper (Nomex) and aluminum honeycomb cores
