Bye Engineering Awarded Subcontract from Global Near Space Services
Denver, Colorado – Bye Engineering, LLC, Englewood, Colorado – Bye Engineering, LLC has been awarded a subcontract from Global Near Space Services (GNSS) in Colorado Springs to conduct trade studies and assist in the development of power and propulsion requirements for GNSS’ Star²Light unmanned communications and surveillance vehicle. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
George Bye, CEO of Bye Engineering, said GNSS is developing what he believes to be the next generation of unmanned aircraft to operate in the upper atmosphere, achieving significant cost savings and enhanced performance results. “Star²Light uses no petroleum-based fuels and incorporates solar power,” he said. “This is significant, because Bye Engineering has tremendous experience in alternative energy propulsion systems for general aviation aircraft, and we are excited to integrate our knowledge with this progressive platform.”
